Swaziland also has an international obligation to cooperate with her neighbours and the global community in instituting collaborative measure to curb some of the environmental problems. The country is currently a party to the following international conventions:

 

        Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), 1992

        Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal, 1989.

        Bamako Convention on the Ban of Import of Hazardous Wastes into Africa

        Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplet the Ozone Layer

        Convention to Combat Desertification

        Convention on the International Trade on Endangered Species CITES)
